New OPM Merit-Based Federal Hiring Process: What You Need to Know
The federal hiring process is undergoing a significant transformation, and if you're applying to government roles, you need to be ready. We can help!!

Here's what’s changing—and how I can help you stay competitive:

✅ Résumé Limit: 2 Pages Max

  • No more lengthy resumes. Hiring managers will now expect a concise, focused résumé.

✅ Strategic Focus on Talent

  • Emphasis will be placed on recruiting early career professionals, STEM talent, and veterans.

✅ Goodbye Self-Assessments, instead new focus on Skills-Based Testing

  • The outdated “check-the-box” assessments are gone. Expect technical skills assessments and multi-hurdle screenings to verify true qualifications.

✅ New Short-Form Essay Questions for GS-05+ Roles

Applicants will be required to answer 4 brief essay questions covering:

  1. Your connection to the U.S. Constitution and public service

  2. How you improve government effectiveness

  3. How you'd support Presidential priorities through your work

  4. Examples of your work ethic and real-life achievements

We make sure your accomplishments are highlighted to get you past the competition, interviewed, and eventually hired
